Data Darbar attack ii – Pakistan is a cemetery and it needs graveyard worshippers to make it Brelvi Republic.

    By: International Professor

Everybody has learned different versions of fixing responsibilities of Data Darbar attack, according to Yousuf Raza Gaillani, A Rahman Malik and Hamid Saeed Kazmi it is work of Sipah e Sahaba, Lashkar e Jhangvi and Taliban. Whereas leading Brelvi Mullah are saying it is work of Deobandi and Salfi sects. MQM, Jaffria Alliance, ANP and Sunni Ittehad Council have same speculation.

Such kinds of allegations are part of our life because politicians and clergy never speak truth except their personal benefits or use the event for political reasons. However there are unseen hands that always work clue less acts of terrorism since creation of Pakistan.

There are strong speculations that attack on Data Darbar is part of war of terror and the shine of dollars has made our army, political and religious leaders deaf, dumb and blind. Previous waves of terrorism were quiet different in nature before emerge of U.S. crusade, and sectarian and ethnic nature of terror had reasons to speculate on the cause, but today position is quite different. Apologists of Uncle Sam are not ready to admit that any foreign power could be involved in terrorism or using locals to commit terror acts. In a new development today DG ISI has admitted during briefing with Parliamentary committee for Defense that foreigners are involved in terrorism and strategy to fight war on terror must be revised. (Ref daily the News dated: 09-07-10)

Enemy’s targets to destabilize Pakistan has major goal of dividing public on ethnic and sectarian grounds, and also black mail and defame Pakistan army. So that large parts of society may start to consider our army as their foe, enemies have successfully dragged Mullahs, Military and politician in dirty business. National and international masters of sectarian and ethnic technologies are playing their hocks very carefully, very well and everything is happening according to their plans. Ruthlessness of Zardari mafia and cold bloodedness of army generals is in front of everyone. Both gangs are liars and deceitful, corrupt, thugs and fraud.

Majority did not worship Data Sahab as a God or believe that a dead Sufi can do anything for humans, however according to our experience no one never even think about committing terror act in his shrine.

Isolated cases of extremism are in every religion or country like division among Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox and those are fighting with each other since centuries, Shia and Sunni are fighting since 13 centuries without any interval, even Hindu, Sikh, Budh and Jews have different sects and some of them are blood thirsty of other sects. In recent past some peoples attacked on the shrine of a Shia Imam at Iraq and in revenge some peoples destroyed graves of Hazrat Talha and Hazrat Zubair at Basra. Syrian Shia Druze have smashed graves of Bani Ummia and even humiliated grave of Hazrat Amir Muawia the 5th Caliph of Islam. Extremists of PPP attacked and damaged grave of Gen. Zia ul Haq at Islamabad and mobs of Molvi Fazal  Karim burnt the grave of a Deobandi scholar at Faisalabad in March 2010. Case of Bari Imam is quiet different because it is target of different factions including Sunni, Shia, custodians and war lords for control on the shrine. There are hundreds of examples.

Beneficiaries of attack on Data Darbar, suspects or culprits?

Zardari mafia: Zardari mafia wants to divert attention of peoples from their corruption cases, and his cronies like Farahnaz Isfahani, Capt. Faisal Raza Abidi, Farzana Raja and Rahman Malik have extremist Rafzi views.

Security Forces: Mahdi Army headed by Secretary Defense is one of the most resourceful groups backed by high officials.

Many peoples of Pakistan have strong perceptions that more than 10,000 persons detained from Swat, Fata and other areas of Frontier are under custody since one year and nobody knows who those peoples are and what address those had. Some peoples of the area reveals that officers having extremist sectarian views were deployed to humiliate Deobandi, JUI and JI clergy. Locals have told horrible stories of torment cells and ghettos at Swat and how a Col. is involved in using filthy language against religion and later ordered his staff to torture detained persons. Many persons were killed during investigations while in custody and their dead bodies were thrown on roadsides.

The existence of CIA, Blackwater, Special Services Commandos, drone operators and their nexus with army is no secret. The stories of Blue Label Johnny Walker whisky, selling of citizens, missing persons, target killings and murders are in progress without fail. Moreover Pakistan army is not producing any of the so called terrorist to the court of law. Insurgents and army both are on same page while violating state laws. Dozens of scholars have firm belief that ISI is engaged in selling detained peoples to foreign agencies and that are utilizing same persons inside Pakistan for terrorism.

Sectarian Mullahs: Mullahs that are passing most of their time at Europe and Americas have hidden financial resources. And since last two years dozens of Brelvi Mullahs and sectarian organizations like Imam Husain council are busy in spreading venom of sectarianism and hate in different western countries including most visible Tahir Padri, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Molvi Muneeb and some Makhooms and Pirzada’s are so frequent in visiting overseas that even Bill Gate would not have dreamed to visit foreign countries such frequently.

Surprisingly no terrorist blow any grave owned by at least 200 Makhdoom feudal lords in parliament? Why? Moreover why terrorist did not kill any Makhdoom or feudal Pir?

If terrorists are exclusively Deobandi, Wahabi, Salfi or Ahle Hadis as claimed by Government than army is exclusively involved in killing of those sects on sectarian and ethnic grounds and as a result of which almost 30, 000 have been killed and 10 to 15,000 are detained in ghettos illegally, moreover thousands are in Jails on terrorism charges as well.

The percentage of peoples under victimization shows that the strength of Deobandi, Wahabi and Salafi etc indicted or alleged in terrorism cases comparing with the overall percentage of arrests on national scene gives a very dark picture of sectarianism and ethnicity soaked policies of Govt.

Whereas percentage of population versus arrests made on sectarian grounds would represent those communities as 70% of total population of Pakistan. JUI (F) is included is ally of Govt. and many ministers have same faith. In the same manner 60% population of Baluchistan (according to strength of parliament members in Senate, National and Provincial assemblies), 100 % of FATA population (100% Taliban, Pushtoon or Deobandi), 60% of Frontier’s population (Pushtoon, Deobandi, JI, TNSM, or LI etc) , 40% of Punjab (Punjabi Taliban, Sipah e Sahaba, Lashkar e Jhangvi, Jamaat ud Dawa, JUI, JI, and Ahle Hadis etc) and roughly 40% of Sindh’s population are Deobandi, Wahabi, Ahle Hadis or Salafi.

Moreover Tableeghi Jamaat has the capacity to gather strength of 2.5 million, Jamaat e Islami in all urban areas and rural areas of Frontier etc is an example of large part of population according to their faith.

Majority of peasants and poor which belongs to Deobandi, Wahabi, Ahle Hadis or Salafi in southern Punjab are living in tough circumstances under mostly feudal having Brelvi or Shia faith. Recent hue and cry for army operations in southern Punjab by feudal Makhdooms, and custodian of graves is based on upholding their political superiority. Their major financial resources are dependent on charities of superstitious public. Mr. Khalid Masood Khan has written many articles in daily Jang last month about status of feudal Peers and Brelvi Mullahs of southern Punajb and he has also mentioned the role of those Makhdooms during British Raj and the financial status of Hamid Saeed Kazmi type Mullahs.

Some British anthropologists and experts of genealogy wrote some excellent books and painted a bleak picture of fraudulent way of life of Peers and Sufi’s, those mentioned frauds of Sufi peers stating that many are Shia by faith but hide from their Brelvi followers, it is also supported in some Gazetteers with names that such and such Pir hides his Shia faith. Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat of PML Q and Abida Husain alias Chunni Begum of PPP from Jhang, Riaz Pirzada of PML Q from Bahawalpur area, and Akbar Nawani of PML N from Bhakkar and Fakhar Imam of PPP from Khanewal are few examples.

Under the circumstances any group behind pleading army operations in Southern Punjab could take extreme step of Data Darbar attack.

Awami National Party: has six decades old expertise of terrorism and have sufficient number of terrorists in their fold. The KGB trained workers of ANP have now jumped in CIA’s vessel. ANP has the resources to use terrorists to destabilize Punajb under propaganda of Punjabi Taliban.

PML N: Two days back when Mian Nawaz Shariff called for National conference on terrorism Gaillani right away rejected nucleus of his appeal to talk with Taliban and also intended to invite only chosen parties. Later Punjab Government has banned 17 organizations and parties, 15 Deobandi or Ahle Hadis and two Shia groups, no Brelvi terror organization has been included. According to reports 1700 workers of those groups are on Government’s hit list, and Punjab Govt. has exclusively raided on central office of Sipah e Sahaba at Jhang to facilitate election of Abida Husain from Jhang- Sarghoda area.

Role of MQM, Sunni Tehreek and Sunni Ittehad we have already discussed in part one of this article.

Exclusively barring selected Deobandi or Ahle Hadis groups:

It will open chapter of new split in the society, would enhance sectarianism, vengeance and complaints of discrimination would produce more revenge seekers. As PML N has announced two days back that 35 law maker won their seats with the backing of Sipah e Sahaba.  There is no doubt that Sipah e Sahaba is a large pressure group. Mian shahbaz Shariff during his previous tenure as CM Punjab Punjab tried hard to eliminate that group and used police and killed nearly two thousand persons in encounters. His major target was Deobandi religious youth, now again Shahbaz Shariff has started same old game on the basis of his Brelvi thoughts. In fake Sabzazar encounter case finally he was nominated that lead him to touch feet of parents of innocent victims before filling nomination papers for recent elections. Please see my following report on given link below.

Who is Shaukut Javed IG Punjab? (1)

Moulvi Fazal Karim, MNA of PML N:

According to the Daily Times and the Daily Ummat dated: 08-07-2010, Govt. of Punjab awarded him a plot worth 350 million rupees at Faisalabad and he also moved a summary to Govt. of Punjab for allotment of a plot near Arshad Market, Faisalabad which was rejected. Moreover he was directly involved in burning of the grave of Maulana Qasmi, burnt Quran and religious books and also set ablaze some mosques. Same day his secretary was caught red handed along with other terrorists in March 2010. Last week he stressed Mian Shahbaz Shariff to stop visiting Jamia Ashrafia otherwise his Brelviat would be polluted but he rejected his venomous thoughts.

Warning from law enforcing agencies about foreign hand in terrorism:

Government is cautioned that local NGO’s and groups are backing Balckwater type agencies to create anarchic in Pakistan. According to daily the Nation dated: 08-07-10

Quote:” According to the sources, the militants arrested by the law enforcement agencies in different operations from tribal areas and FR regions during interrogation disclosed the names of some private security firms and NGOs, who were actually funding the militants and providing them with human resource for activities of terrorism in the country. After the disclosure by the militants, the Interior Ministry asked the Government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa to provide a detailed list of those private security firms and NGOs.
The Interior Ministry in an official letter No d-6848/2009-ds(s) issued to the officials of KP.
It is to be mentioned here that some private security firms have been raided last year for their alleged links to the American company DynCorp (Blackwater) of which one such firm is Inter Risk.
According to the reports, the specialised security services of Inter Risk along with another Pakistani firm Speed Flo Filter Industries were also hired by Dyncorp International for US consulate in Peshawar last year.
Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa has been a hub of US spies and Blackwater for the last few years. With the surfacing of this new information directly from the terrorists arrested from parts of the country, it is apparent that the international spy network is still active”.Unquote (2)

    Taliban offer ‘help’ in probe

08-07-10: PESHAWAR: The Punjabi Taliban on Wednesday has lauded the Punjab government’s efforts for countering violence and terrorist acts in the province and offered help in probing the suicide attack on Data Darbar. “We believe that these bomb blasts are just the start of series of such attacks by Xe (Blackwater),” Mohammad Omar, a spokesman for the Taliban Media Centre, said in a press release. (3)

    Conclusion:

Pakistan is a mosaic of different school of thoughts, ethnic groups and local cultures and in this prospective Brelvi state is a foolish idea. Behind the scene at least 10 ministers and Prime Minister is involved in instigation and financing Brelvi groups. A flood of decrees (Fatwas) and street protest against Taliban was conspiracy to indict selected groups in terrorism.

Putting bans on nominated groups on religious abhorrence or army operation for making money against same factions without any court orders clearly shows that Govt. has no evidence to prove in courts. If Govt. wants to adopt a comprehensive policy to ban ethnic and religious groups then it must ban all groups simultaneously including MQM, ANP, Jafferia Alliance, Imam Husain Council, Ansar ul Islam, Sunni Tehreek, Sunni Ittehad Council and many other terrorist groups in coalition with Govt. Oriya Maqbool Jan has written an excellent article “Kuch Nahin Bachay Ga” in today’s the Daily Express and described hysteria of Fatwa’s and flow of millions of dollars from overseas lords for construction of Sufi graves in Pakistan.

Fair trials are a basic requirement for any democratic and civilised government, justice is fundamentals of all religions and obligation to UN charter of human rights. Some elements in media, army media cell and some foreign journalists are involved in preaching hate against selected groups and in the absence of Justice and by not working under the frame work of state laws no government could maintain peace in the society. Discrimination is other name of hate and use of force without any legal justification is main cause of terrorist activities in Pakistan. The idea of excluding large national groups out of main stream politics is entirely based on fascist ideas.

If someone has any proof of terrorism against anyone including Deobandi, Ahle Hadis, Wahabi, Salafi, Sipah e Sahaba or Taliban etc than deal them in civilised way, fair prosecution never create hate, produce revenge seekers or create anarchic in the society.

Data Darbar and Data Sahab some facts:

Usually graves are a sign of burial of anyone, according to historical facts current place of grave of Data Sahab is not its original place of burial, and some historians says it was located on other side of river. Second matter related to Data Sahab is his famous book “Kashf ul Mahjoob”, unfortunately his book has some chapters that are controversial in nature and possibly due to this reason it was not translated in Urdu, however when Mian Tufail Muhammed, ex Amir of Jamaat e Islami translated from Persian he removed those parts.

Data Shab has no links with current Sufi orders like Qadri, Chishti, Suharwardi or Naqshbandi etc, he left no descendents and he was first scholar of Indo-Pakistan who authored book on teachings of Sufi thoughts.

The person who believes that any human is alive in his grave is against basic teachings of Islam. Constructing graves and spending billions is not obligation in Islam at all. The safety and security of the grave of prophet was necessity because there were internal and external enemies who want to destroy the grave, even though no Muslim ruler constructed mausoleum for centuries and current construction was carried out in Turk rule.

Data Darbar has a cultural significance for Lahorite’s in some cases more than religion and don’t let religious extremist of Brelvi sect to take advantage of the situation. Their demands are childish and those want to take control of grave yards of Pakistan. Income of graves is non-taxable and a basic cause of financial resources of feudal Makhdooms. Government instead of spending billions on construction of mausoleums it must nationalize all graves. Now the time has come to stop selling names of Sufi saints and keeping source of revenue in the hands of a few war lords or pressure groups. Many shrines are sanctuaries of rascals, druggies and harbour area goons for political supremacy.

We have no objection if anyone likes to worship graves, has a thinking to treat dead as alive or treat them as a source of spirituality, it is their faith and we also condemn attacks on graves and places of worship of any religion and sect. Idea of creation of Brelvi state from the front leadership of Peoples Party is not surprising because its future politics is entirely dependent on feudal and custodian of graves. We also have no objection how political parties manage their way of politics but discrimination on the name of religion and ethnicity, use of force, elimination of selected groups from main stream politics and acting on the advises of overseas lords is neither democratic nor proper way to run any sovereign state.

Brelvi and Deobandi both have same source of Fiqah and both follows Sufism, it is wrong that Deobandi follows Saudi Wahabism because books like Rad e Mukhtar and Fatawa e Alamgiri were written for before birth of Abdul Wahab Najdi and Dars e Nizami is followed by both as well. Both follow teachings of Mujadid Alif Sani and Shah Waliullah with great respect. Their targets, goals and approach differed when Deoband School joined anti-Colonial drive and its leaders were imprisoned and killed, where as Brelvi and Ahmadi schools declared Jahad un-Islamic and favoured British Sarkar, grabbed lucrative lands and higher posts. Sir Syed tried damage control but he was labelled as Naturi and his thoughts were rejected by both sects. On the whole current drama of Fatwas, acts of terrorism and political rift based on religion is a product of War of terror and free dollars.

Brelvi says Data Sahab was on vacations

Malangs and devotees at Data Darbar have appeared unanimous in reasoning, “Data Sahib must not have been in his grave last night, otherwise he would have sensed the bomber’s intention and turned him to stone.”

Retreating to their preferred sections of the darbar after the Friday prayers, the devotees sat in their routine, weekly dairas (circles) and took account of the damage to the shrine. The absence of some of the regulars was a sombre reminder of last night’s desecration of the final resting place of the man, popularly believed to be the guardian saint of the city. “I can’t see Baba Kali Chaadar Wala,” noticed one malang.

“Maybe he was killed. He never misses the Friday prayer. Something must be wrong otherwise he would have been here for his daira,” said another.

The rattled followers, scrambled for an explanation, “The terrorist attack must be a divine punishment for our misdeeds. Data Sahib must be really upset with us.” Devotees of Ali Hajveri, remembered as Data Sahib, trickled back to his shrine and formed a large congregation both for Fajr and Friday prayers despite the death and destruction of Thursday night’s suicide bombing. They said that they felt more secure in the shrine than outside.

“These blasts cannot keep us away from the darbar. The police and the government may not be able to catch the ones responsible, but our Data Sahib will not let them go unpunished,” one of them enthused.

“The darbar is a sacred place. The attack would not have been possible in Data Sahib’s presence. He must have been elsewhere last night,” chanted Muhammad Sadiq Dervish.

Baba Khaki Kurtay Wala chose silence as his response. Standing in the courtyard of the shrine, he turned his gaze skywards and recited a muffled prayer.

Suddenly he clenched something out of the air, trapped it in his tightened fist and threw it outside the shrine. Baba then fished out a piece of stale chapatti (bread) from his pocket, recited a prayer and offered it to the heavens by slinging it into the air.

Someone explained on his behalf, “This is a spiritual practice. He is cleansing the shrine.” Talzer Chishti, who became a devotee nine years ago, piped in with his words of wisdom, “There were several evil mongering munafiqeen (hypocrites) during the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) as well. Data Sahib’s shrine is a very safe place. The bomber was able to strike it only because Data Sahib allowed him to do so. This was a lesson for humanity. The end is near. But God Almighty will avenge this attack.”

Amin Butt, a security duty volunteer at the shrine, said, “You think the government protects the shrine? I have been coming here for 70 years now. Only Data Sahib protects his darbar.” “Do you see any weapons on me? We have nothing with us to protect the shrine. It is because of our corrupt rulers and our immoral actions that the attack happened yesterday,” he concluded.
