Iqbal Hadi Zaidi, former Business and Manpower Advisor, Pakistan Embassy, Kuwait composed a poem on, 'H.E. Dr Fadhel Safar' on his appointment as Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Planning and Development. This is the 3rd time in continuity that he has been inducted as minister. First time he was inducted as Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Municipal Affairs and when the cabinet was reshuffled, a few ministers lost their jobs whereas some of them tendered resignation but he was again chosen and given the same responsibilities for the second time. Now 3rd time on 13th February 2012 he has been appointed as Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Planning and Development.  Photo shows Zaidi reciting his poem which very much moved the minister who immensely thanked Zaidi for composing such a befitting and descriptive poem on such a happy occasion.  It is worth mentioning that about 5 years back there was some religious function where I was invited to attend. All people were sitting on the carpeted floor hence I also sat there with many others all around. Dr Fadhel whom I had not met till then was one the members of the organizing committee and when he saw me sitting on the carpet, he came and got me seated in the center of few sofa sets laid up at the back for VIPs. After some time three Members of Parliament and Iranian Ambassador came and they too were seated on sofa sets. I had 2 MPs on my right and 1 on my left. I thanked him for bestowing such honor on me which is rare. We exchanged our introductory cards. At that time he was neither minister nor MP but a Member of Municipal Council and after 2 years he became minister. He is the same minister who has sent flowers to my hotel room on my 25th and 26th wedding anniversaries.
