Gone are the days
For quite many weeks for sure if not months, no compensation is being announced for the families of those whose blood relatives are killed due to suicide bombing etc. As a matter of fact, human can not be priced in both situations, either alive or dead and this principle is applied universally in all the countries on the face of earth with no distinction between a male, female and sexless. Human is human and remains human irrespective of the fact if he is alive or dead he is a human for all academic purposes.
I must very plainly admit that I am too naïve and have no records to prove and establish as to in my beloved Pakistan, which human was the 1st person whose death was officially recognized and his family had been paid some cash as compensation for the death which by no means is being condemned rather on the contra I applaud such actions. President and Prime Minister from the center and Governor, Chief Minister of the province where deaths occurred had announced compensation amounts for the families of those who had been killed and or injured under unforeseen circumstances. Amount of cash, howsoever hefty, is not the answer to the death but nevertheless it did help those who were left marooned and in tears.
What is the prudence, if any, when government does not announce payment of any compensation? Are we short on cash now? Did we forget to allocate some cash for such compensation when prepared our annual budget? Is our body not even worth just few hundred rupees (weaker currency in any case)? Are we waiting for next loan from World Bank or International Monetary Fund to pay compensation?
I am deaf, dumb and blind on the issue and wish that our official spokesman to kindly enlighten me at least as to why no compensation is being announced now (Peshawar & Bannu blasts of today referred)
