Assalamoalaikum

For past 2 or 3 Days, i have been hearing people talking about Emergency and Musharraf, but very few people are worried about the future of our Pakistan's Judiciary mainly Supreme Court. Chief Justice of Pakistan was told to leave his post, many more Judges were forced to resign. Their constitutional rights were ignored and they are till today house arrested.

What is bugging me the most, The Future of Supreme Court. Emergency is Imposed, we cannot do much about it but just talk and feel bad about it,  the only thing that we now should worry about is the SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN. General Pervez Musharraf has chosen Abdul Hameed Dogar as recent Chief Justice of Supreme Court, which we all know why...because he in favour of Musharraf a.k.a Busharraf. Now lets go back in the year 1995, when Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was ruling over Pakistan, If you all remember she also had Hameed Dogar as the CJ of Supreme court...So, yes now everything is getting clear...why would Musharraf chose him as a CJ..Yes now we know that the deal between Musharraf and BB is working...Well good for BB and Mushi...Finally Musharraf is finding a way out of all this.

What i want to say is stop feeling bad about Emergency or about what corrupt Musharraf will do next, Most important thing to think about is the restoration of our loyal and honest JUDGES,CHIEF JUSTICE and in general our SUPREME COURT.

Emergency...In my opinion is just to distract the public of Pakistan, it is the "Judiciary" that is the main target of this Emergency, so Raise your voice against Emergency too, but start thinking about Supreme Court and raise your voice to restore the Supreme Court of Pakistan

May Allah Bless our country with loyal and sincere Politicans AMEEN SUMA AMEEN

Regards,
Madeeha Asif Zaheer

No Democracy with a Destroyed Judiciary

Message from eminent columnist - Nasim Zehra  Wednesday, November 7, 2007 9:32:00 PM

"We need to popularize the phrase "no democracy with a destroyed judiciary".. pre-November 3 judiciary must be restored.

"We need to focus squarely on the restoration of the judiciary... and indeed call to question the stand Pakistani political parties have taken on Musharraf's dismantling of the judiciary.

"Our heroes are the deposed judges..the ones under house arrest, the ones who refused to take oath under the PCO, the ones who were trying desperately even if at times somewhat flamboyantly. .but NEVER unconstitutionally, to enforce the rule of law in the country."

Message from Usman Khalid, Director London Institute of South Asia

"Nasim Zehra is right. Nawaz Sharif is the only leader who has made a single demand - the 'Resotoration of the Judges' who held office on 3 November. Imran Khan has gone further and called upon the students to guard the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry whose personal security guards have been arrested by the police. Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry has been a symbol and the custodian of the 'rule of law' and now also of 'resistance' to the promulgation of the PCO. Let us not be confused or distracted. Those judges who have taken oath under the PCO are 'accomplices' of Musharraf in the violation of the Constituition. The issue is the 'rule of law' and our demand is the dismissal of the judges who took oath under the PCO and restoration of those who refused.

Congratulation
Due to our efforts and my talk to some PML(N) officials, PML(N) put restoration of SC at the top of its agenda.
And now due to that, Media has started talking about this issue and the same media which was not talking about this earlier, have started saying this is the more critical issue and should be discussed more.
Inshah Allah, we will get the SC as o 3rd Nov very soon.

and she is saying the same thing, look there are two scenario
1-his yesterday night' meeting (no one is excepting) with Musharraf was not fruitful and now she is really determined to go against him
2-As she and Maulaana Fazal Ur Rehman are allowed to move and do every thing freely and due to all this, the message going to public is not good as yesterday PPP(Punjab) leaders were beaten up by lawyer in Lahore, as people are thinking them as Bush Mush puppet.

But i really sincerely hoping that she will play a role of real opposition as at the moment she really has the power to shaken the government, although she will do because she didn't get what she wanted.
But for us BB in opposition lines is better then BB with Musharraf.

yes the deal b/w mush and bb is working but just now i read in the news that BB wants the people of Pakistan to come on streets for the restoration of SC and constituion although it can be political statement but we know that BB has a lot of jailay who can die easily for BB so ??

But no one is debating on this Q, just one hour back an analyst from USA said this, that all protest should be for restoration of SC, not about lifting the Emergency, even GEO after that goes into some other program, and s far no debate has been started about this issue.
Because Emergency was to eliminate the SC, and if after lifting the emergency we wont get that SC then there is no use of lifting it.
Our prime goal should be restoration of SC.
Lets make it our naaraaa.
But all of us should at every forum, raise this issue.
as no one in the country and outside the country raising this
It is good that you have started to raise this core issue
