Indian  politics: Support for AAP is growing in Delhi, BJP is panicky, restless!

-Dr. Abdul Ruff

National parties like BJP and Congress now feel the pinch as a new small party without money AAP has over smarted them both in Delhi.

With just one day left for the election campaign of Delhi assembly polls to come to a close, BJP chief Amit Shah and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi are busy garnering votes for their respective parties. Both held road shows and public meetings to impress the Delhi voters.  Last minute gimmicks to make voters to feel sympathy for these essentially pro-rich and pro-corporatist parties.

BJP is feeling miserable at the unpleasant prospect of its position at the poll in Delhi, it has begun targeting all parties. Congress VP Rahul Gandhi alleged that the PM Narendra Modi was working only to benefit his "industrial friends".

True, neither Modi nor BJP has any sympathy for poor and common people since they promote rich and corporate lords in the country.  The BJP has never objected to such c criticisms about BJP’s capitalist interests and is deadly worried that Aam Aadmi has been growing more popular among common masses.

In fact, both Congress and BJP pursue pro- rich and corporatist polices and they have hidden nexus on many issues and indirectly support each other by using Muslims as their common problem.

AAP in Delhi: So many parties and leaders have extended support to AAP which is going to for a stable government in Delhi. Not only Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee but also peace party, left parties have also supported AAP which is the party of Delhiites.

On Thursday, Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has thrown her support to the AAP in the February 7 Delhi Assembly elections for the "greater need of the country and development in the capital". As Mamata Banerjee urged the people of the national capital to vote for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the assembly elections, BJP criticised her. "Delhi elections on (Feb) 7. My request to all of you in Delhi to please vote for AAP. For the greater need of the country and development in Delhi," Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, said in a tweet.

The Trinamool Congress has maintained a strident anti-Centre stand on various issues and is engaged in a political confrontation with the BJP.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took potshots at West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee for her decision to back the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and reminded her of not doing enough to save her own ship from sinking. Mamata Banerjee rather than trying to save own ship is busy steering the ship of Aam Aadmi Party," a BJP spokesperson said. The BJP leader further criticised Banerjee terming her and Arvind Kejriwal as scamstars. "Any ways both are scamstars and both are supporting each other.  We know as to how both Mamata Banerjee and Kejriwal are dharna specialists.

Now that the outcome of Delhi assembly poll is almost forecast in favor of AAP, the question remains about the future of BJP in India. Already in Jammu Kashmir assembly polls and some local polls in Varanasi have gone against BJP. With the prospect of people of Indian capital also rejecting BJP the fate of the Hindutva parties, including BJP would be difficult to forecast now.
