Contest is between premier and parliamentarians en block

Indeed grilling is a right of parliamentarians thus they quiz
Stand must prime minister to reply them and not just whiz

Truth is that grilling is constitutional right given for kicking
In fact much time this right is exercised in Kuwait for licking
Contested few times premier and ministers with big flicking
Knocked out were those who initiated it now face pricking
Insulted could be parliamentarians even today if sticking
None knows now who wins or loses as the clock is ticking
Go I now on completing and poem composing I‘m sticking

Umpteen efforts parliamentarians put in before too to deflate
Wriggled they earlier claiming they have majority to suffocate
Attempts like today were quashed each time without weight
Insulted are parliamentarians who moved can be read on slate
Tarnished is their image so they quit assembly go to ice skate

Pulverized is the political scene for years and it is not first time
Repeatedly ministers & prime minister are grilled in meantime
Interestingly in Kuwait grilling right is practiced as if it is thyme
Members of parliament have grilled many ministers at a time
Excessive grilling without result turns it joke and out of rhyme
M I N IS T E R
Members who initiate grilling are never questioned is sinister
In fact they go too far away to unseat minister/prime minister
Not when they succeed in their move cannot I ask each mister
Inquire I must to show all the complaints you have in canister
Seldom they succeeded thus can’t be allowed to create blister
Tarnish they image of others for nothing thus must face lister
Excuse not accepted they be punished why did they administer
Repeat they will not in future if now they are tied to bannister

Sun of 5th Jan 2011 witnessed that there were so many knives
Uncertainty gripped Kuwait none knew he loses who survives
Ring leaders of opposition and treasury took it on their lives
Vehemently they accused each other not sparing their hives
Ignited was the atmosphere in the assembly since PM arrives
Voting started in assembly and impatient were men and wives
Ended it favoring PM who rightly cuts opponents and deprives
Salutes Iqbal Sheikh Naser Mohammad Al Sabah who survives
