Karachi—Karachi observed its third day of mourning this week as violence continued to plague the city, taking the death toll to 14 in the last 24 hours.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, who had also urged the
business community to support his call by keeping theirbusinesses shut, had called the day of mourning. Traffic was low and businesses remained shut for most of the day. Earlier in the day, petrol pumps and businesses started to reopen and transport also started to run again after 5pm.

citizens of Karachi for observing a “peaceful day of mourning.”

Workers of both the MQM and ANP have been targeted this week, sparking a new wave of

Meanwhile, Sindh

Which one to be believed-Heaven or Hell or Both?

Today is 1st April, 2012 which means some people can fool some but I very much doubt that newspapers can fool the whole nation on the day which I eventually will prove by quoting same news as reported differently in three different newspapers and then leave it to your sweet judgment to either appreciate and applaud newspapers or condemn me whatever pleases you the most.

If there is peace and no killing then of course it proves heaven but if instead one notice killing then it is nothing but hell. Today, Pakistan Observer newspaper captioned, ’Normalcy returns to Karachi’ which is what each and every citizen of Pakistan whether living within the country or overseas wishes for. Frontier Post newspaper of today headed one of its news as, ’Over 14 dead in Karachi violence’ whereas News wrote, ‘Karachi: violence claims 3 more lives’ and showed photos of 3 dead bodies duly draped in coffins.

I do understand that each newspapers has its own operational mechanism whereby its own staff, its associates and allied agencies etc work hand in hand so far as gathering the information and making a report for newspaper is concerned and hence there are always some chances, even remote, to find some difference in the same news which ought to be minimum but co-related too. It is almost next to impossible to eliminate such like discrepancies which can be found in the leading newspapers of the most advanced countries as well so we should be very much rational and judicious while objecting against our newspapers. It is quite but natural that the words and expressions used by two different persons on a particular news can be hundred percent identical in any case. However, there must be some relationship and equation between the newspapers when talk about a particular news but the difference cannot be so much grave and opposite both in nature and figures otherwise such like news is nothing less than a devil’s workshop which very efficiently and diligently produces horror coupled with terror.

Are you with me or against me? Which one did you believe-heaven or hell or both?
