Amnesty International & Pakistan

Mr. T. KUMAR (an Indian Hindu) Advocacy Director for Asia & Pacific Amnesty International USA, has arranged talks by  Aitzaz Ahsan and Muneer A.Malik,  on Thursday 26th June 2008  at Amnesty International USA, Washington DC. The very language of the notice published by Syed Adeeb "“ a known renegade journalist of Pakistan "“ on his inter net "ReportPress.com" "“ is quite reflective of and betrays the sinister designs  of A I denigrating Pakistan. It reads,  "SCBAP President, Advocate Aitzaz Ahsan and SCBAP ex-President, Advocate Muneer A. Malik, the two former political prisoners of illegal president Pervez Musharraf will discuss  --- blah blah

It is sincerely hoped that the learned lawyers in their efforts to plead their case will not try to excel each other in denuding and degrading Pakistan in the eyes of International community by indulging in of all sorts warranted and unwarranted criticism, of course much to the delight of the Indians. Unfortunately, while addressing such an audience we tend to lose our sense of balance and do not realize the damage that we do to the country by criticizing it while at the same time trying to make a hero of ourselves. Has an Indian ever done so, whatever happens in their country? Whereas we Pakistanis take pride by washing our dirty linen in others' court yards. Why can't we keep our domestic feuds to ourselves only?

Truly
