Does NATO Really Seek Peace in Afghanistan?

 -Dr. Abdul Ruff Colachal

Pakistan is in shambles and true Pakistanis understand the need to establish a truly Islamic state in Jinnah’s Pakistan, curb anti-Islamic tendencies in the society, especially with more and more western Axis elements are entering the nation under terror pretext, but some elements argue to end violence, but do not want to be seen as doing Washington's bidding. It seems the USA is at work to bring back Pakistani regime to jointly kill Muslims.

According to the Washington, differences between the two partners could cause problems at the international conference on Afghanistan that opens Thursday in London, which will be attended by 60 countries, including 42 terrorist nations now attacking Muslims in Afghanistan. American officials have failed to win over Pakistan's military and civilian establishment here insofar as stepping up the offensive against Afghan and Pakistani militants along the borders of the two countries.

US terror military Secretary Robert M. Gates has regretted having curtailed military ties with Islamabad after the end of the Afghan-Soviet war in 1989 and has offered to provide Pakistan unarmed, unmanned surveillance planes. Nevertheless, the responses he has received from the army and the press have been either skeptical or defiant. There is also a view within the Pakistani establishment that Washington is becoming more India-centric in its actions, and has urged for a balanced and equitable approach. Although some of the negative reaction may be nationalistic hype or negotiating tactics, analysts and diplomats said, it also reflects a deep divergence of views between the two countries.

While a portion of Pakistani elite wants the NATO terror war to continue endlessly so that this section can control the nation through a puppet regime, India wants to be a prominent voice at the conference because it believes that with its economic power and regional clout, India could play a vital role in shaping the future of Afghanistan. In order to secure the energy route in Afghanistan, India seeks a bon d with both Russia and Iran. The West is also urging China to take a keen interest, share the burden and get involved in the building up of Afghanistan. India has always blamed Pakistan for sheltering terrorists on its soil and has made it clear to the US and NATO that until these sanctuaries exists, permanent peace for Afghanistan could prove elusive. The fact remains that India is keen to keep Pakistan destabilized and the region in ruins.

As a covert strategy to suppress its terror agendas, India has repeatedly drawn world attention to Pakistan's covert support to the terrorist organizations, while Islamabad has been blaming India for supporting insurgents in Balochistan through its consulates in Afghanistan. Knowing al hidden agendas of India for the region, Pakistan has every reason to remain skeptical about Indian “efforts” and has refused to open transit route for Indian goods, including terror equipment, to pass through its soil into Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, ahead of a major London conference on the future of the country, NATO’s top terror commander in Afghanistan Stanley McChrystal said there had been "enough fighting" and that he wanted to see a political solution to the long-running conflict. After securing an extra 30,000 US troops and several thousand more from terrorist NATO countries to provide more security in the country, the US terror general used a newspaper interview to say members of the Taliban could play a future role in governing the country and has raised the prospect of a negotiated peace with the Taliban. UK Foreign terror Secretary David Miliband said the Afghan government needed to bring the Taliban into the political system.

If one puts together the peaces of suggestions emanating form USA and Pakistan, it looks the NATO terror era would soon end and a new era of peace and tranquility would herald in Islamic world staring in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Possibly the UNSC has given green signal to the USA and UK to call off the terror  wars in favor of world peace and let the Muslims live peacefully. Enough of western terror wars on fictitious grounds!

This leaves the old regional conflicts to be resolved as the next priority, thought the occupiers India in Kashmir and Zionist Israel in Palestine, would feel threatened by any peace prospects in Afghanistan and Iraq. India is keen to enter Af-Pak as the future custodians of the region, while Israel continues to create fictitious obstacles in the Palestine issue. Israel's prime terrorist Netanyahu has declared his country would retain parts of the West Bank forever - a statement sure to provoke Palestinians and complicate the year-old peace mission of a visiting US envoy. Netanyahu laid claim to the disputed territory just hours after meeting with George Mitchell, the US's Middle East envoy, who has been shuttling between Israeli and Palestinian leaders since late last week in hopes of breaking a deadlock over Israeli settlement construction.

The Zionist fascist regime always plays tricks with the international community on Palestine and wants to prolong the Palestine issue. Israel says now it would want to retain a presence in the West Bank even if a peace deal is reached with the Palestinians. The Palestinians claim all of the West Bank and east Jerusalem, captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war, for a future independent state and say settlements undermine this goal. They have refused to resume peacemaking until all settlement construction stops, something Netanyahu has refused to do. The Palestinians rightly claim all of the West Bank and east Jerusalem, captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war with the help from western rogue states, for a future independent state and say settlements undermine this goal. They have refused to resume peacemaking until all settlement construction stops, something Netanyahu has refused to do. The fact, however, remains the Israeli terror leaders have not yet received any clear cut message from the US president on Palestine, notwithstanding all rhetoric from Washington which hawkish terror minded Jews don’t take seriously as a matter of routine practice of USA and UK for decades.

As its fundamental policy, peace is not the prime object of NATO (North Atlantic Terrorist Organization) and by interventional and terror polices it promotes wars and deaths. After killing millions of Muslims, now NATO says it seeks peace with Taliban and Al-Qaeda. World has to believe what the NATO’s stated intentions are. So, now let us be back to the question: Is NATO really seeking Peace in Afghanistan?
