Kashmir is situated at the heart of Asia, with historical links to both South and Central Asia. It is surrounded by Pakistan, Afghanistan, china and India. Its' area is approximately 84,471 square miles. India did not have land link with Kashmir. It was only because of the conspiracy brewed by the RAd cliff award of 1947 that handed over Gurdaspur to India to provide her geographical contiguity.
