Kindly allow me the courtesy of your august columns to draw the attention of the Ministry of Finance towards an ambiguity in the mind of some regarding the 25% increase in the pension of those who have attained the age of 85 years on July 1st 2016. The SRO reads, “25 percent increase in net pension to all pensioners of federal government above the age of 85 years with effect from 1st July 2016

Though a welcome news that the govt. has overruled the increase in the prices of fuel suggested by OGRA yet, it put me to thinking as to what the heck these Regulatory Authorities are doing in Pakistan? Don’t they make their recommendations after taking all pros and cons into consideration in the best interest of Pakistan that the govt (read PM) just overrules them ostensibly in the public interes
