Two Eids

True to its tradition parts of KPK have once again celebrated Eid, due to an edict given by the unofficial provincial Ruet committee, on a day other than the rest of the country solemnised it. Such a practice year after year might appear seemingly harmless but in fact has deep rooted divisive bodings and premonitions and does not auger well for the solidarity of Pakistan in the long run.  This practice must be stopped forthwith . Now, either the so called provincial Ruet committee is correct or the Central Ruet committee, as both cannot be correct at the same time. One way to determine it is to watch the moon daily and see when exactly the 14th of the month will fall. This can be done by all and with the naked eye only. If the KPK committee is found correct, the Central Ruet committee be disbanded. And if the Central Ruet Committee is correct then the provincial committee be banned from giving verdict on the appearance of the new moon in future as it has made its followers forego one Roza. All those who have ‘eaten up’ one roza must keep fast as Qaza Roza.   Incidentally, why does this provincial committee disagree on the occasions of Eid only and agrees with the Central Committee decision for all other moths of the year?
