Flood Relief and TFP

Not many may know that a small think tank in Rawalpindi - Thinkers’ Forum Pakistan (TFP) www.thinkersforumpakistan.org, run entirely funded by its members and normally holding its monthly brain storming sessions debating and discussing ideas for “Better Pakistan” took a practical step under an idea conceived by its General Secretary Col. Bakhtiar Hakeem (Retd) and encouraged by its Chairman Ex- Air Chief, Air Chief Marshall Kaleem Saadat (Retd). In that it has so far donated more than 1.2 million rupees in cash, food items, medicines and beddings to the flood affected in far flung areas. Response to an otherwise routine looking appeal made by the TFP for donations was tremendous and people from all walks of life came forward to help their brothers and sisters in distress. Such acts of spontaneous rising to th e occasion by the nation are not only gratifying but highly encouraging. Thank you my dear country men. May Allah (swt) be with you always, ameen.
