War on Terror
NATO supplies are to be resumed after suspension of more than a week. Karachi to Kandhar and Kabul are long routes to be protected effectively all along. Many Pakistanis – civil and military – have laid their lives in the process. So are Pakistani soldiers dying daily in fighting the Taliban. Drones take a similar heavy toll of innocent men, women and children in the form of collateral damage. For how long we would keep suffering for others – particularly the ungrateful one?
I think it is time that we asked US to look after her war on terror herself. We want no money from them to take care of the Taliban for them. We would ourselves deal with the Taliban bothering us and the same should be done by the USA. Why involve us in something that they should do themselves and strictly speaking is not our problem? And, if they cannot and want us to do it for them, then they must pay for it. Pay the same that would cost them to do it themselves – in logistics and human value. No more no less.
Would that not be fair? If we have to be mercenaries let\'s be the proper ones.
