Death to the Corrupt
In response to my letter to editor ‘Death to the Corrupt, Col. Afzal Sipra sent the following highly thought provoking response which I would like to share with you :
Dear Sir, A-o-A,
I also wish many things. Nations don\'t survive without sacrifices. When Ayub Khan met Algerian President and leader of the Algerian Independence Movement Ben Bella he asked him, "Ben Bella! When will the Kashmir be liberated?" Ben Bella took him to the roof of his office, opened a window of the back yard , showed him the graveyard and said, "When this much big graveyard is created". I along with many tourists was visiting palaces of the old king of France in Paris in 1985. One of the Scottish ladies said, "Oh! Peoples were starving and these bastards were enjoying." Then we saw that place where king and queen were stoned to death. Mao and Zhou Enlai threw their opium eaters in the sea. Americans fought civil war for 200 years. I have seen British "Phanse Ghaats" in Isle of White. Iran has become a nation after so many sacrifices. Afghans are a strong nation ever since their creation. My grandfather used to tell us in 1960s, "Putroo! Kabul day jamian noon sadaa muhimaan i.e. Those who are born in Kabul are always on triumph." Many of us want a change. Many of us want to go to paradise but none of us wants to sacrifice and none of us want to die. How can you change the fate of the nation. Theory of evolution has failed in our country. CJ has stated his wish but how? One M $ question.
Any comments?
