APL condemns Faisalabad  blast

APL (Association of Pakistani Lawyers), a team of Pakistani origin lawyers, Solicitors, Barristers, and Judges in UK has jointly has condemned a car blast in Faisalabad, a commercial hub of Pakistan which has so far cost 20 lives and over hundred injuries.

APL has urged the need of a National drive on the subject of ‘increasing violence’, militancy and extremism which is fast evaporating free thinking and civil values in Pakistan. APL has referred that 2 fatal assassinations in the capital and scores of blasts in Punjab and KPK are an indication that system is failing to come up to the challenge to defeat extremism with full might, vigour and collective national intelligence.

APL condemned the blast in the strongest terms and consider these attacks against the humanity  which are denting the weaker infrastructure promoting fear in the society.

APL observed that these series of attacks begs the need of a collective policy and joint intelligence share and Governmental and community partnership to halt, deter and defeat a mindset which create such incidents if the country wishes to defeat the menace of  terrorism and increasing extremism.

APL invited both the former and current premier Nawaz Sharif and Mr. Gillani to hold a national conference involving all stake holders on the subject of increasing violence, extremism in the society and ways to curb radicalisation with the joint will and national drive.

APL further observed that security policy needs a quick review with new operational changes to apprehend the criminals before the crimes are committed, and proper adjudication system whereby accused does not go scot free because of lack of evidence.

APL has expressed their condolences to the families of those who lost their loved and sympathies for those who are injured and has urged the Govt to do the needful to compensate them befittingly.
