Pot-bellies and double chins of politicians.
If you want to assess whether a political leader holding a responsible post in the government of Pakistan is corrupts or otherwise, just look at his belly and chin. Some argue that pot-belly and-double chin are directly proportional to the corrupt practices and inversely proportion to the uprightness and sense of responsibility.
Next time when you see our leaders with pot bellies and double chins, compare them with their counterparts in neighbouring India and Iran. In Pakistan, the greater the responsibility the bigger their protruding bellies and protrusive chins. In India and Iran it is the other way round.
There is a proverb that if you want to assess the health of a society see the health of its teachers. I would say if you want to assess the corruption in a society see the pot-bellies and double chins of its political leaders.
