10 PAINFUL YEARS!

The most sensitive emotion of a person is his religious belief. Any person irrespective of which religion he belongs to, would get angry if his religion is being made fun of.

Its been a decade of insane cruelty. The violence of weak cannot hope to match the vengeance of the powerful. The difference of course is that the latter is supposedly justifiable. A weary US marks the 10^th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and looks to move on. These attacks were suspectedly linked with the Muslim terrorists but the entire Muslim world was dragged into a new era of hate and extremism.

For the last decade, the emotions of millions of Muslims were violated all around the world by correlating “Religious extremism” to “Islam”. Islam become the favorite target of Western media which judged the Religion of Peace as Religion of Terror. The way its followers were being insulted is not only shameful and sad but also should be condemned.

On 9/11 attacks, Muslims like every one else were also grieved about the loss of thousands of innocent lives  but immediately after that a war against Terror was launched which was initially aimed to tackle terrorism but soon Muslims realized that it’s a Planned war against Islam. Negative propaganda was made against preaching of Islam and the Holy Quran. Especially in Westerns countries, Muslims went through painful experience of Hate, disrespect and insult. No matter where they were, but in the name of security every shameful act was applied of them. Human Rights Law number 11 which states that “Every person is innocent till proven guilty” was clearly violated. No one exactly have the figure that how many were illegally detained and how many of them are still under observation.

No one knows about the evidence but if US presumed that Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaida were the mastermind of 9/11 attacks then who decided that entire Muslim world should be involved in investigation? Majorities of Muslim reject terrorism including 9/11 attacks, as morally wrong and strictly refused killing of innocents in the name of religion. A new PEW Global world survey said that “Muslims reject terrorism; Jihadists benefit from anger towards US”.

Its been 10 painful, unforgettable years since Muslims are being deprived of their fundamental Human Rights. Muslims believe that they are on a different path than the West. This path is central to their notion of their freedom to practice their religion. When they feel that America is threatening their religion and their aspiration, they grow resolutely hostile.

Terrorists have no religion, race or ethnicity. Islam is a religion of Peace which preaches that killing one human is to kill entire humanity. I always tell my American friends that “Muslims don’t hate America. They hate American policies especially American greedy nature to invade and rule other countries”. Muslims are part of America as well as the world and they should equally treated as Human Being. We had enough hate now its time to treat each other with love. We all have to join hands irrespective of religious and ethnic differences to spread light and peace in this world.
