When Nawaz Sharrif, on his naive attempt to return to the country, was thrown out by trickery abd treachery of the musharraf government, I felt utterly ashamed to be a Pakistani and I expressed that feeling without mincing any word.

 

Now, when I see Britain and America indulging in Pakistani poltics in minutest level, for no fault of them but they are being asked for it by none other than Pakistani Army - ruling establishment, when I see it written everywhere unambiguously that America is making the deal for Benazir, when I see the nation has very gracefully accepted the fact that America has made the deal possible and has brought Benazir and musharraf on the same bed, I again feel ashamed for the nation's apathy, indifference, lack of self-esteem, lack of national pride and nation's numbness. I am shamed that, I am a part of such a nation!!

 

Though the courts in Pakistan have not yet been able to prove the allegations of corruptions against the Royal Corrupt Couple for obvious reasons, yet almost all of the Pakistanis except of PPP know very well the past of Benazir, and they understand her urge and eagerness to get indemnified on the strength of America and in the name of 'reconciliation' ; and Karachi is today agog with joy to welcome Benazir. Karachi's roadsides are full with wall chalking and garffitties welcoming the Corrupt. All the billboards in Karachi are sporting big welcoming banners showing big pictures of Zulfiqar Bhutto and Benazir and attractive slogans like, "Revolution is coming", "Rule of downtrodden" etc. etc. All the advertisement billboards are completely gone!

 

I am ashamed, and can anybody tell me, maiN khaN jaa ke apna mouN chhupawooN?
