Emergency & Enlightened Moderation

People have seen the true picture of Enlightened Moderation of Pervaiz Musharraf since November 4 imposition of Emergency and suspension of constitution and human rights. The way over 50 honorable judges are arrested and entire pillar of fair and free judiciary is demolished is also an eye opener for those who blamed Islam and true Muslims for every thing wrong in this country.
Islam is the religion of peace and submission to Allah Ta'lah. Those who do not submit to Allah Ta'lah can not and must not be regarded followers of Islam. It is as simple as that. The word Muslim itself means obedient to Allah and possessor of peace. Islam condemns and does not approve both extremes i.e. spiritual or religious extreme and material extreme. It is interesting to see that how extremes of both ends cooperate with each other in evil and injustice. Musharraf and Benazir's love affair with "Maulana" Fazlur Rehman is therefore quite understandable. A true follower of Islam can not be corrupt, extremist, ill mannered and unjust.
Islam addresses the highest faculty in human beings i.e. sprit, soul and mind. After conquering these it is easy to use the human talent for good and construction. Quran refers to Muslims as "Ummat-e-Wst" meaning middle and the Best people i.e. people adopting middle path shunning away all extremes. We are regarded as the role model (Shaheed) for others just like the Prophet (PBUH) was and is the role model for us. This role model involves ordaining what is good and prohibiting what is bad. A Muslim therefore can not be "neutral" and inactive on issues. He is also not afraid or scared of false gods (Ta'ghoots) as he knows that all power belongs to Allah alone. Therefore the great Prophets e.g. Ibrahim and Moosa (Peace be upon them) challenged Nimrod and Pharaoh of their time. Islam through granting freedom of mind and expression and cultivating the highest sense of accountability unleashes the enormous human potential for growth and construction as witnessed in the golden era of science of Muslims. The corrupt extremes use psychological warfare involving pseudo enemies and false propaganda against Islam and Muslims in order to maintain their extremist and corrupt practices. It is the duty of conscience media to show true picture and not to become a tool in the hands of material or religious extremists. An analytical and conscience media should also unearth various schisms, conspiracies, tactics and false propaganda of extremists against the best and the chosen people i.e. true Muslims and real Islam.
