Subject: Are Judges lower than peons?
Dear Editor: Assalamo Alaikum.
Judges are Government Servants. And there are detailed laws for firing a Government servant. It is not easy to fire a Government without proper inquiry etc and the servant has all the right to challenge his firing in courts. Considering this; are our judges lower than a Government peon? Certainly not and hence they must be given their due rights as per constitution and law. The firing of a Government Servant without due process also constitutes severe violation of several fundamental rights of a human being and hence these can not be suppressed in Emergency. I request the entire Civil Society to give due support to the honest Judges who had themselves become victim of worst injustice. All the Judges who did not take oath on PCO before and now must be restored with full honor and dignity with time compensation for their lost period.
With Most Cordial Regards,
Sincerely yours,
