Voters Lists and Armed Forces
According to a news report the Chief Justice of Pakistan has suggested use of the armed forces for carrying out door to door scrutiny of the voters at Karachi, where around 3 million voters are reported to be missing from the voters’ lists.
Would someone please advise the CJ not to suggest the use of the armed forces for such a thankless job, for, what’s there that the mighty civilians can’t do by themselves? According to most critics and army bashers, in any case the armed forces are not trained for doing such civilian jobs? And, if the CJ thinks they are, then why not let them do ALL the other jobs of running the govt. also?
Incidentally, the armed forces are sick of doing such thankless works for their ungrateful Civilian Superemos, who should better learn to wash their linen by themselves and in their own courtyards too. Why involve the Armed Forces just because they are more efficient, dutiful, clean and honest?
