Happy New Year:

While the year 2013 was being ushered in with great fanfare and dazzling fireworks to the accompaniment of the special songs and tunes created for the occasion all over the world’s capitals and metropolises, starting with Auckland New Zealand, Sydney Australia, Moscow Russia, Eifel Tower Paris, Big Ben London and Times Square New York just to name a few, our Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi were bracing  themselves up to ward off the extremists from stoning and destroying the parked cars and bikes outside the city clubs and five and four star hotels.  This is ostensibly done in the name of Islam.  Does Islam forbid to enjoy such an occasion?
