Islamabad ( press reporter):  The English translation of the poetry book of Dr. Allama Iqbal titled" Shikwa and Jawab-e-Shikwa by eminent Sikh Indian scholar Surjit Singh Lamba has been published from New Delhi. Under the note of dedication the translator writes:" Dedicated to Dr. Sir Mohammad Iqbal my spiritual father."  Surjit Singh Lamba is a renowned scholar and has also written a book on the holy prophet of Islam titled Quran-e-Natiq. He is known as Hafiz-e-Iqbal and frequently lectures on Iqbal at international level. The Foreword of the book has been written by Dr. Maqsood Jafri who appreciated the efforts of Surjit Singh Lamba and regarded him a great adorer of the poetry of Dr. Allama Iqbal and an ambassador of peace. The book contains the comments of Dr. Javaid Iqbal who praised the intellectual services of the author and maintained that the participation of the translator in world symposia for fostering the spirit of universal brotherhood makes him a "Global Personality." The Chairman of Iqbal Academy New Delhi, India Dr. Syed Zafar Mahmood also paid glorious tributes to the translator on this valuable work.
