Police in Schools
What kind of governance or administration is this that the police had (has)
occupied about 20 schools and college buildings to accommodate themselves while
performing the anti-dharna duties in Islamabad. If the
forces was brought from various districts of Punjab, it must have been placed
administratively under the control of Islamabad Police, in which case the
Islamabad Police should have been responsible to provide them with the
required logistics. And if it is on its own, then their respective
headquarters should have arranged/equipped them with tents/bivouacs, cook
houses, toilets and bathrooms etc. to be self contained. They had no business
to enter (tress pass) into any of the institutions’ premises and occupy it
forcefully. Did anyone in the Police department realize their doing so was
tantamount to denying schooling and studies to the children for nearly 40
days? Why did they mot take notice of such worst kind of police &l!
dquo;behavior” till the media made an issue of it?
