Azaan at Same Time

A highly commendable decision to call out Azaan simultaneously from all mosques in the federal capital from May 1, 2015 was  adopted at a high level meeting of the Ulema of various sects chaired by the Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Mohammad Yousuf. Needless to say that this single step can go a long way in unifying the nation and reducing the sectarian divide, and should be applied throughout the country. Now, in order to ensure its strict implementation, a pre-recorded Azaan by a renowned muezzin should be broadcast over the local FM radio which should be relayed simultaneously from all mosques in the city after picking it up on their FM receivers coupled to their loudspeakers. Now, a question could arise because of a few minor differences/variations in the wording of the Azaans given out by the Ahle Tashie and the Ahle Sunnat wal Jama’t. This can be resolved very easily by adhering to the wording of the Azaan as given out by Hazrat Bilal R.A. during the lif! e time of the Prophet (SAW) and doing away with all additions/subtractions introduced later.
