Right to Vote
The constitution of Pakistan says, “Nothing repugnant to Qura’n and Sunnah
shall be enacted in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan”. In Sura 39 Ayat
No. 9 Almighty Allah asks in Qura’n, “ Kia ilm waley aur jahil brabar ho
saktey hein?” In other words they cannot be. But our
constitution treats them equal by granting them the same equal right of one man
one vote! Does it not make the constitution unIslamic?
Even the Chinese seem to have followed Qura’n who have laid down a minimum
academic qualification for their people to posses to exercise their right to
vote.
Could the IIC or the Shariah Court shed some light on it please?
