Ladies & Gentlemen
For quite sometime I have been observing that some of the Discussion Fora are being used for projecting one sided views of the vested and interested parties only. Anyone coming up with anything contrary to their commonly held precepts is not only shot down vehemently but at times insultingly too. Most of our friends are young and emotional, eager to impose their views upon others. Unfortunately some of them are not alive to their limitations of knowledge, experience and tolerance. Lack of accommodation on their part makes matters still worse. "Could the other one be also right?", is a thought alien to them which makes them stick to their guns come what may. This is a little irrational attitude, detrimental to learning and harmful for the national growth as many a wrong lesson could be carried by them who may as well be knocking at the doors of the decision making circle of the country leadership. It is, therefore, imperative for them as well as us to put across our view points logically with an open mind and arrive at the consensually correct perspective of the matters of national import. Most members of the fora are intelligent, well-read, intellectuals and most importantly each of them highly patriotic "“ imbued with the burning desire and the noble spirit of making Pakistan a respected and worthy member in the comity of the nations.
As a starters, may I suggest the subject to discuss; that is, "There is no substitute for Democracy. How can we have a real good and sustainable democracy in the country that could alleviate the lot of the common man to the desired and respectable level soon"?
(Kindly no blame game and vitriolic, please)
