I very strongly condemn the oddity of Geo TV network in playing Pakistan 's national anthem under commercial sponsorship at odd times, without minding for the sanctity a national anthem of a country carries with it. All Pakistanis should do the same. National anthem and national flag carry certain sanctity. These are strictly for stately affairs, or for representing nation's dignity and honour. Uses of these are, by convention, and in some places by law, restricted and are not for everyday's and everywhere's showing. These are not to be played and displayed according to every one's pleasure without showing proper respect to them. But Geo, and the bunch of so-called celebrity vocalists are flaunting this norm under commercial consideration, which is highly objectionable, and should be stopped forthwith. I am also astonished that, our media people do not have knowledge of this simple fact!
