Olympics & Pakistan
Olympics 2008 have come to a close and the Great Britain has started preparing for holding the Olympics 2012. It was a tremendous show on the part of the Chinese who have certainly proved themselves to be a really progressing, dynamic and a vibrant nation and country with great organisational capabilities. They not only held the entire Olympics flawlessly with an unparalleled precision and grandeur but also walked away with the top laurels - 51 Gold, 21 Silver and 28 Bronze. They truly deserve the admiration and appreciation of the entire world for their such outstanding performance.
Many proud nations of the world would take stock of their performance at Beijing and start preparing accordingly for the next event. What will we "“ a nation of 170 million strong, nuclear power, 7th or 8th largest country of the world, the most powerful Islamic state and what not - do? Is it not time to give it a real serious thought, reorganise our sports bodies, get rid of the dead wood at their tops, induct dedicated professionals and experts of each field, carry out an earnest talent hunt through out the country without any considerations of favour or nepotism for a change and groom them up toiling day and night? May be the Olympian Gods permit us also an odd access to the victory stands next time !
