On Saturday 23/8/08, 2 ships arrived into Gaza port carrying 44 peace activists from 17 countries; in defiance of Israel's blockade of Gaza's territory.

The news gives one much food for thought. Why on earth we become Israel as accomplices in a conspiracy of silence.

If a few activists can achieve so much and make Israel bow. What r we ppl doing????? What r our leaders doing, especially Arab leaders??????

Can't one of them set sail to Gaza with supplies of food, medicine etc to lessen the misery of Palestinians. If an Arab leader like King Abduallh set sail to Gaza with a big

Fleet, who then is going to stop him. Israel couldn't stop a few activists then can it take a chance on confronting an Arab neighbour's leader?????

The need of the hour is not sham meetings, hollow suggestions or dialogue but plain action. If no one has senses to think of a brave act that can work as a punch on face of Israel, then follow others. Others who light our way by their actions.

Pity that our leaders r more meek than these individual souls of activists without any media outlet, big position or monetary resources.
