KARACHI: Three mothers have reportedly handed over their eight children to the Edhi Foundation due to abject poverty here on Tuesday, Edhi sources told Geo News.
Abdul Sattar Edhi confirmed that five girls and three boys in age group 5 to12 years were handed over to him at his Mithadar Center by their mothers. These women hail from Gulzar Colony in Korangi area, he said.
Edhi said that arrangements would be made to provide vocational education to these children - Warda, Nimra, Usman, Umer Khan, Faiza, Hamid, Minsha and Adnan.
