Well, JUST A THOUGHT

Watching the non-stop commercials of scores of mobile phone companies on scores of  tv channels it crossed my mind that it must be costing them jillions. Jillions in producing the ever new and so rapidly changing every time different ads, jillions in paying the actors cast

in them and jillions in purchasing the airtime and on that the prime air time too to telecast them!! Why can't it be done a much lesser costs. Just sponsor a sports team of your own - say- of football. It would surely cost them fraction of what they pay for the tv advertisement and could possibly get them the same level of or even more publicity for their products. Imagine the magnitude of competition and the healthy sports activity it will generate in the entire country amongst its youth.  Tournaments at Tehsil, District, Province and finally at the National level will not only attract throngs of the multitudes of entertainment starved populace but may also give Pakistan a football team of International standing as a byproduct! All kinds of advert props likes, T shirts, Caps, Footballs, Bags, Satchels etc. with the company logo and colours on them would find ready acceptance and in turn produce hundreds of thousands of walking talking "˜bill boards' for the sponsor publicizing its name and product.  Well, just a thought.
