Bismillah hir Rehman Nir Raheem
When the Prophet (PBUH) died, he was the most known person on earth and hence his death day was remembered by every one. It was 12th Rabi ul Awwal. The companions were very sad indeed. When the Prophet (PBUH) was born no person knew that he will be the leader and Khatim of all the Prophets. In those days registers were not maintained. Therefore it is not surprising that there is no complete agreement about his age. Majority is of the opinion that he was 63 years old at the time of his departure from the earthly world. However some say 61 some 65 etc.
Every Muslim is happy over Prophet's arrival and every Muslim has greatest love for him than any other human being.
However to add or to delete some thing form the religion is a very big sin which is categorically prohibited by the Prophet (PBUH) and carries sever punishment in the Hereafter. So if we love Rasool Allah why should we do some thing which he never approved. The companions never observed such religious festivals and ceremonies. Every moment of our life has link with our beloved Prophet whom we must love and obey. How can we disobey him by creating ourselves ceremonies which are in fact copies of Christians and Jews. If Christians went astray and started celebrating birth day of Jesus (PBUH) Should be follow the or our Prophet (PBUH) who stopped all additions to the religion as Bida and all Bida he regarded as a path to hellfire.
Mere lip service is not enough. People are giving lip services to Jesus (PBUH), Moses (PBUH), Our Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hussian (May Allah be pleased with them all). They are not following them. SOme people burnt the shops and markets in Karachi saying "Labbaik Ya Hussian" see You Tube. Did Hussian (May Allah be pleased with him) teach this?
So called "Saint" Paul did the biggest disservice to Christianity (Islam at that time, the word Christianity did not exist at that time; it was Islam and Muslims) when he tried to kill the message and life of Jesus (PBUH) under the wrap of his personality worship.
If we love the Prophet (PBUH), we must learn Quranic Arabic and must pray the way he prayed i.e. with full understanding of Quran-e-Majeed. We must be a walking Quran like he was. He must do every thing what he did and we must be that sincere and honest as he is the role model for us and we are supposed to be the role models for others. So please shun all the hypocrisy and walk on the foot steps of our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Stop spin balling and stop using idiotic reasonings to do some thing which he prohibited and which was never observed by the great companions. Do we mean to say we love Prophet more than them; we must be crazy if we say so as our actions do not support our lofty claims.
