ANP and the Quaid
Now that the NWFP has been renamed Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa by the parliament, we should all accept the verdict democratically. No one can even for a moment imagine that our legislators would do anything against the ideology or integrity of Pakistan. Having said that, however, there are a few who cannot swear by the loyalty for Pakistan of the Khudai Khitmargars, the Red Shirts and the NAP - the predecessors of ANP. It would, therefore, be in the fitness of the things that the ANP top leadership visited en bloc mausoleum of the Father of the Nation to pay their homage and allegiance to him, which somehow they have not done so far during the last 62 years. That would dispel all doubts about their patriotism or still holding on to the idea of establishing the independent Pukhtoonistan. Such a gesture would earn them the goodwill of all and why not?
