Killing of an innocent
No body with sane mind would support extra-judiciary killing of anyone who by law is innocent unless proven otherwise. Looking at the TV footages, the following points become apparent;
- The victim is seen trying to push back the gun and along with it the para military man. The action of the para-military man seems to be a reflex action. This shows the poor training of the soldier.
- It seems the victim was shot in his legs. In target killings victims are shot in head, neck or chest. So it cannot be taken as target killing.
- After shooting , the victim was left unattended crying for help. Even a child can tell that the first thing one does in such cases is to tie tightly the thigh to stop bleeding. It was not done. Again this shows the poor training of our soldiers and police.
This all points to the poor recruitment practices in the government which are tainted with 'Sifarish' and the poor training of para military forces.
