Pervez Rashid as Governor Punjab

Among the inner circle of Mr Nawaz Sharif, Senator Pervez Rashid seems to be the best candidate for governorship of Punjab. Only four days were left for his permanent residency in UK, when he decided to go to Pakistan with Mr. Nawaz Sharif on September 10^th 2007. When asked why couldn't he delay his departure for four days, he replied. “My life is in Pakistan, my heart beats in Lahore and my loyalties are with Mian Sahib. The four seemingly short extra days for me is like four long unending years without these three.” The short answer reflected the depth of his personality. He is fair minded, soft spoken, intelligently firm in decisions, great political analyst, die-hard Punjabi and a moderate Muslim. With these qualities he will deliver what is expected of him as governor of Punjab.
