Lowari Tunnel:

A lot is being done to improve the road communications and mass transportation systems in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and of late Karachi.  Billions and billions are being spent on these projects which the critics think are not that essentially required and the huge amounts could be utilized elsewhere on much more badly needed projects to ameliorate the lot of the masses. Anyway, now that it is being done are the people of these cities children of some bigger god and the people of Chitral of a lesser one?  The Lowari Tunnel Project which was, if I may remind you, Sir, and the readers, started in 1973 and is yet to be completed after 41 years!  Sir, spare a few billions for it also, for, it is also part of Pakistan and it will not be just for the beautification of the area but for an ESSENTIALLY required project for the people of Chitral and Northern Region.
