Never thought and never heard
Pakistan Observer writes in its issue of to day 12th April that Rawalpindi Traffic Police will take action against those who drive without number plates which is something completely unknown to me and I have not see any vehicle on road in Saudi Arabia where I worked during 1976-78 and in Kuwait where I am since 1978. I have not seen it so in different 17 countries I have visited so far. I am going to Pakistan as well and it was last week of December and 1st week of January 2012 when I was in Lahore and I doubt I had seen any vehicle on roads without registration number plate. How come police now wakes up and that too only in a section if the country? Why was it allowed in 1st instance? Why is it being scraped and defaulters are being penalized? The more I think, more puzzled and crossed I am and perhaps you too, I am not so sure.
