Annual or occasional Muslims
I myself being a Muslim feel ashamed to caption alike but nevertheless it is neither my own fantasy nor a day dream but undeniable hard fact which all of you who read me wherever you are including my beloved Pakistan know it very well and I am sure that the picture which I will narrate from Kuwait must be the same all over the places including my beloved Pakistan with some variations.
Kuwait is such a Muslim country where its total population is Muslim except 1 so far as I know who lately converted to Christianity and therefore I will pen what I have myself noticed and in the country living since 1978 and I am sure that more or less the similar situation must be found in other countries too. Hypothetically speaking all the mosques irrespective of the country and the place must be over crowded on each and every day simply because Muslim whether male or female; ruler or subject; rich or poor; educated or uneducated; healthy or sick and living in east or west is ordained by Almighty Allah to pray 5 times. This rule applicable from day one will be applied with same sanctity and authority till dooms day and therefore there cannot be any let up for Muslims not to pray 5 times a day from birth to death.
nbsp; No denying the fact, each and every mosque irrespective of its size and topographical situation gets some Muslims 5 times a day for offering prayers but regretfully there are some Muslims who do live within the vicinity of a mosque but yet they will not go to mosque for offering prayers. However it will be quite immoral on my part not to commend those who do not go the mosque on daily basis but yet some of them can be seen in mosque offering Friday prayers. However, very much surprisingly many of those who did not come even on Friday prayer start coming to mosque in Ramazan and even they could be seen not only in Taraveeh but also during mid night prayers in last 10 days of Ramazan. It must be penned that on 27th night mosques were almost full to the capacity even at mid night prayer which as a matter of fact is very much heartening to be honest but shamefully worshippers shrunk on subsequent nights of 28th and 29th.
Before ending, shouldn’t it be mentioned, if not annoying that those few who did not come to mosque even during Ramazan will offer Eid prayers with pride and honor despite the fact that they will miss Fajer on Eid? I cannot be wrong to pen that I found annual or occasional Muslims only in Kuwait but same atmosphere must be prevailing in other countries including Pakistan unless someone refutes me. I sincerely wish and pray that all Muslims must shun remaining as annual or occasional Muslims and instead transforming into as true Muslims.
