March or no march government did march

You may like it or not the fact remains that one single person all alone by himself as his own initiative without much even spade work has just shaken each and everyone whether he she belongs to the incumbent government or the opposition both have been horrified and terrified which is never ever happened alike at least in Pakistan since it came into existence in 14^th August, 1947. I am referring to none but Dr Tahirul Qadrai who is a known theologian as global level and had been out if Pakistan for quite some time but suddenly he appeared on the political horizon of the country which has shaken and woken up all of us with just one stroke. He who has now Canadian nationality also returned to Pakistan and announced in Lahore while addressing a big public that he wants electoral reforms in the country before even care taker government can take oath. He also announced that he wants that we should have true democracy in the country whereby an ordinary citizen could even contest election and not that rich and landlords and businessmen can only contest the election which is our practice in any case. He announced at the full pitch if his voice that he has no personal interest to be care taker PM etc but yet he cannot tolerate injustice anymore hence he has jumped in to cleanse the society of all the ills. He announced that on 14^th January he will be right inside Islamabad with millions if his supporters which could be the ever biggest human gathering at least in Pakistan if not the region. He also announced that now the cabinet will be selected by the general public instead consisting if farmers, clerks, technician, educated and civilized persons who work with national spirit to serve others and not just self as is the case at this point of time where only a few aristocratic people rule the country ruthlessly without any consideration for the country and the nation.

Next time he addresses a big crowd of MQM in Karachi where he spelled out a bit as to what he plans to do. He asked the people if they are with him and will go to Islamabad with him or not and the public replied in affirmative saying yes they are with him. He also said that if political and electoral reforms are done by the present government by 10^th January, 2013 then there is no need to march towards Islamabad but if it does not happen so then he has no alternative but to embark upon the long march. MQM and PML (Q) had announced their support to Dr Tahir while Imran had already said that his demands are the same what Dr Tahir is asking for so from that point of view it can be fairly judged that Dr has some political support in any case.  He made it very clear that he is very peaceful and therefore there will be no law and order situation whatsoever as and when he embarks upon his this expedition. He said point blank that he has no foreign support with him as some have accused him rather the members of his Minhaj ul Quran movement which has branches in almost 90 countries have at their own given financial support for the long march so there is no foreign and alien hand at his back.

This all very much sent shocking tremors both into government and opposition quarters and they wondered what to do now particularly when MQM and PML (Q) are allies of PPP but yet they are supporting Dr Tahir. Luckily or intentionally Zardari was very much in Karachi when Dr Tahir blasted in the city which as such was very much disturbing for Zardari who emergently called PM and other top ranking persons to rush to Karachi from where Malik Rehman, Interior Minister was flown to London to meet Altaf Hussain, Chief of MQM to calm down as it is sharing power in the government both at central and provincial levels. Then PM spoke to Mian Nawaz Sharif of PML (N) and Wali Asfandyar of ANP in connection with countering the efforts of Dr Tahir who has announced that come what may he will lead the march to Islamabad. Dr has moved an application with CDA for seeking the permission to hold the march but CDA has turned down the application saying that since the crowd will be more than the population of the capital hence it cannot be allowed downtown but somewhere on the outskirts of the capital which Dr Tahir has not agreed to and on Monday 7^th January Malik Rehman will meet the team of Dr Tahir to decide about the venue if the so called public march.

Irrespective of the fact whether Dr Tahir Qadri leads the march or not it has shaken up all those who otherwise had never ever faced such an awkward situation and they are amazed and simply cannot figure out as to who could be the invisible hand behind Dr Qadri to launch such a mammoth movement and that also at the time when elections are just knocking at the doors. As the days are passing new fuel is being added to the fire which Dr Tahir has already lit which perhaps will not does down at its own without gaining some results. He will be remembered for decades and not just some years to have jolted and bolted both government and opposition in just one throw. When there is a will there is always a way and this is what Dr Tahirul Qadri has proved in crux.
