Altaf-unique leader at global level

Some are certainly born leaders and there are some who are made leaders and from this point of view Altaf Hussain falls under the category of one of the made leaders but one way or the other he has acquired very distinctive international recognition which none can boast about whether we talk of the leaders of the west, east, south or north and therefore it can be said with full conviction, confidence and authority that the Altaf has eventually earned very much unprecedented entity in human leadership history. There are many leaders both in east and west or for that matter in south and north as well who have created very dominant impressions and earned them very high esteem during their prime time of leadership but still Altaf is much different than rest of them simply because he opted for a different logistics to address his thousands of his followers through telephone from London which is very much uncommon practice to be honest and no other leaders addresses alike. The beauty is that he is addressing Pakistanis like this for many long years and he addressed as and when he wished and each time thousands and not just hundreds men and women have heard him. This is very much exceptional on the part of Altaf that as and when he addressed there had been pin drop silence and not even a single soul left the place even if he has spoken for even more than one hour in one go and on top of it there was never ever any law and order problem faced either during his address or thereafter. He has the magic wand with him to twist and turn the tide to his choice. Very often he has given call to his people to observe shutter down strike in Karachi or any other city and it had been always been carried out in true action and spirit.

MQM when participated in general elections it was very much newly born political party at that point of time which did not have many seasoned politicians rather most were very young and less experienced but very much enthusiastic surprised many of those who had been in the game for many long years but still they could not match with MQM which had won most of the seats in Sindh Assembly in particular though they have won some seats in National Assembly also. They had won so many seats in the assembly and thereby some of them were appointed as ministers as well.  In each and every election MQM had been winning majority of seats and as such it kept on tightening its grip on the province of Sindh and thereby it was in complete control of the province. Very much surprisingly he has many times created law and order situations in the country whereby even many innocent lives were lost in Pakistan in general and Karachi in particular but none could take any action against him either in Pakistan nor UK rather on the contra when Pakistan rulers could not call him to Pakistan they had no option but had to go all the way from Pakistan to London to either tone him down and or seek for his help on more than one counts. All leaders had to go to him in London which included everyone without any exception including popularly elected Benazir Bhutto or for that matter even Mian Nawaz Sharif had to call on Altaf in London. Even despotic General Pervez Ashraf and present President Asif Ali Zardari had no alternative but to see Altaf in his office in London on different days and occasions.

I am certainly an Urdu speaking person like Altaf who heads MQM though I never ever had any direct or direct contact with him either in Pakistan or overseas so from that point of view I will be writing strictly as per the facts rather hard facts only and therefore I very sincerely wish that my pen must not be given any other color than what it really deserves. Altaf is not from any rich or feudal family rather he comes from an ordinary poverty stricken family but ever since he had some germs of leadership in him he tried to take lead over others and came forward forming MQM which is primarily for those who have migrated from India to Pakistan when Pakistan came into existence and he eventually realized that though Urdu speaking have left behind everything in India are yet discarded and ignored by others which he took to his heart. He formed a new political party primarily to protect the rights and liberties of Urdu speaking immigrants and in very short period of time MQM rose as one of the most powerful political party which had gained very good popularity in Pakistan in general but Karachi and Hyderabad in particular.

Despite the fact that being so much handicapped as being in London he still has full command and control over his followers which the rulers cannot match even though the rulers have all the sources and resources to mobilize whatever but yet they cannot even come near to Altaf what to talk of equaling to him so far as pulling of crowds is concerned. Summing up it can be said with full confidence without any rebuttal and contradiction that at this point of time none but Altaf Hussain is the only leader on the face of earth who pulls so many crowds to listen to his telephonic address which even those who are very much on the throne cannot draw. He is absolutely matchless and incomparable with political leaders whatsoever and whosoever.
