Pak to boost cooperation with UK to curb crime: Nisar
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday said that cooperation with the UK would be enhanced to address issues including terrorism, narcotics, money laundering, organized crime, immigration issues. A British delegation led by the British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Adam Thomson held a meeting with the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar here. Nisar sought British assistance in the field of forensics not only for the Punjab administration but also for the Federal Government. On the occasion, British HC Adam Thomson said the British administration attaches high hopes with the Nawaz Sharif-led government in Pakistan.
Interior Minister is much senior than an ambassador. Time and again it is noticed that our VIPs meet lower rank foreign officials whereas their VIPs do not meet our juniors. Amb can pay a courtesy call on our minister where our minister is neither to seek any help nor to discuss something about policy etc rather should limit to just chit chat. Food for thought, if not annoying.
