Pakistan elections 2008: The results are in and Musharraf Government is defeated

The much "“anticipated elections in Pakistan finally comes to an end and the People of Pakistan gave their verdict, the verdict which was proven to be one-sided and ruling Government has been defeated with a big margin.

It has been widely said that People of Pakistan who has been struggling and has no right of for basic necessities of life like water , electricity , and other needs has one right so far that that is the called the "vote". The vote which they are always urged to give regardless they have water or electricity or not, to be honest for the People of Pakistan this is the only right they have been able to get in 60 years of Pakistan independence.

Yes, this is a big surprise to know how come People of Pakistan has been able to get hold of one of the right which possibly could easily been denied to them as well, well this is the question which many experts tried to find out , one thing that is clear that who ever wants to hold a public office needs votes in order to enjoy the privileges as a member of National Assembly or Provisional Assembly and once they are elected then they forget the voters and start a new luxury life and enjoying perks as a Government officials.

The recent defeat of the Government is a clear message that people cannot be put into dark and play in the name of terrorism while they struggle to find basic necessities of life such as flour, oil while water and electricity play hide an seek as usual and Government has no control over the situation while the daily commodities prices keep on rising.

The scenario surrounding the operation of Red Mosque, with army being involved in hunting and killing in the name of war on terror, , and then came the worse game of Musharraf when he removed Chief Justice of Pakistan , suspended the constitution and imposed emergency rule in the country and recent assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has made the people outrage while many believe that Musharraf Government was involved in the plot to kill Bhutto , finally spoke in the favors of change and why not ,When and how long they can continue to see the downfall of the system of the country, In fact there is a famous saying that people"˜s verdict is always in the best interest of the country.  

At least one thing is clear for People of Pakistan that how much trouble they can find themselves in, at least the "vote" is the only choice left for them to remove a Government and bring on a new Government, again not sure whether the new Government can bring a change in their lives, but they have a hope attached with the "vote" that can give a clear message to the Government that enough is enough.

In my opinion the people of Pakistan are surviving and not living in Pakistan, but one thing is for sure that they must be very fortunate to have something in the country which promises them more than water and electricity, yes the change which they can bring with the people's power called the "vote". One can only pray to Allah that one day a sincere leader will rise to the occasion and help the people of Pakistan, who are suffering in the hands of so-called leaders widely known as (scam artists) who promises them a lot, but in the end gives them disappointments only.  

May Allah help and bring a sincere leader in the Pakistan.
