Iqbal Hadi Zaidi, former Pakistani diplomat called upon H. E. Sheikh Fawaz Al Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah in his office on Wednesday 30th April, 2014 and presented him his poem captioned, 'Governor Are You'. In 1st week of April, Amir of Kuwait H. H. Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah appointed Sheikh Fawaz Al Khalid as Governor, Ahmadi province. Zaidi read the poem which Sheikh very attentively listened and heartily admired. Governor was full of praise and wondered how I have developed the skill to compose in English.

Governed you before also but now your are titled as governor
Of course you being most meritorious suited most as governor
Very few can claim and boast alike who are older and younger
Excelled you always in past on various counts known as runner
Result oriented you are proved so many come to you as learner
Nature wise you are humanitarian and has proved great turner
Oblong turned stiff neck who wanted your place but got burner
Recognized are those who shine out and proved laurels earner

Relying on your inner capacities and capabilities he felt no bar 
Earned you highest awards and laurels proving a glittering star
