Salam Aliakum
I am Pakistani muslim, and I think if we allow Mr. 10% to choose our new Pakistani President then it will strengthen Sindhudesh Ideology. Every Pakistani knows that Saindhudesh is the party of Hindus, who want to divide Pakistan and establish Hindus rule in Sindhudesh. Please help Sindhi muslims by not supporting Mr.10%. Bhutto and G,M. syed families created hate between Sindhi and Punjabis.

PPP to appoint its own president soon: Zardari

LAHORE: The widower of slain ex-premier Benazir Bhutto yesterday vowed his party would soon appoint its own president "“ hinting at President Pervez Musharraf's ouster in the near future. Asif Ali Zardari's comments at a party workers' gathering in Lahore will intensify the pressure on the US-backed former army chief, who has come under increasing pressure from lawyers and the ruling coalition to step down. Zardari took over the leadership of Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party after her slaying in a suicide attack in December. The PPP went on to win the most seats in February general elections. "God willing that day is not far when Pakistan People's Party will have its own president and the presidency will echo with slogans of "Long Live Bhutto," Zardari told cheering party supporters waving PPP flags. Former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif on Friday told tens of thousands of supporters of the country's deposed chief justice that Musharraf, who ousted him in a bloodless military coup in 1999, would be forced to "pay for his crimes." It was the biggest protest since Musharraf's allies lost the February elections, to be replaced in government by a coalition that is led by the PPP and also features Sharif's party. Lawyers have led opposition to Musharraf since he fired judges, including chief justice Iftikhar Mohamed Chaudhry, under emergency rule in November. The coalition has vowed to restore the deposed judges but it has been hobbled so far by disagreements over the mechanics since bringing back Chaudhry could lead to a standoff with Musharraf and also threaten an amnesty given to Bhutto's husband on graft charges. Sharif pulled his party's ministers from the cabinet in May over the issue. Zardari also said Bhutto's killers would not go unpunished and his party will seek revenge for her December 27 killing in a gun and suicide attack in Rawalpindi by "changing the system." Meanwhile Pakistan's most impressive long march over the weekend may not have shaken President General (retired) Pervez Musharraf but it has apparently rocked the Zardari House, the residence of ruling Pakistan People's Party chief Asif Zardari, which is now rushing to resolve the judges issue to avoid further public agitation. The tone and tenor of Zardari House has changed after many acknowledged that a huge number of people had gathered in Islamabad to demand an early restoration of the judges and the trial of President Musharraf. The judges' issue, which was earlier pushed to the backburner by the Zardari House, has now become a matter of top priority for the PPP. An influential PPP source said yesterday that Zardari was rushing back to Islamabad to review the party's strategy on the issue. Clearly distancing itself from its recent stance that the judges would be restored through a constitutional amendment, the Zardari House is now talking of no linkage between the judges' restoration and the constitutional package, something which had become highly controversial. Hinting at the early resolution of the judges' issue, the source said that it is possible soon after the passage of the budget. The source said that the restoration of the judges would be done through parliament but without having any connection with the constitutional package. The source, however, maintained that the PPP was reviewing its strategy not because of any pressure but because it wanted to move on to address the other problems facing the nation. "No matter what Rehman Malik or people like him may say about the size of Friday's gathering in Islamabad, the Zardari House, at least unofficially, admits that it was a great show and there was a sea of people all around," an official said. The Zardari House source, however, takes credit for the security arrangements and for the government's decision to allow the protestors to stage what has become a historic anti-president and anti-Zardari show in front of the parliament house in Islamabad. Perhaps trying to get the pulse of the masses, the PPP source, wondered if a repeat of Friday's long march is possible. Zardari House is apparently overlooking the revolutionary tone of its leading ally Nawaz Sharif, who has said that there would be more long marches if the judges are not restored and the presidency is not vacated by Musharraf, the main target of the long march. - Agencies
