His holiness Mr. Zardari has continued the operation against tribals even more vehemently than Musharraf, under various garbs of Peshawer under attack, Bara operation, and now his famous quote to US media 'We'll go after them'. Isn't this exactly Musharraf was doing with the difference that at least there was no US ground forces incursion on Pakistan soil.
Today I have read that Pakistan revenge comes in the form of a full might attack on bajaur killing 60 in one night.
Jets have continued to bomb tribal areas. Zardari's first international visit has been to US, something that was a big label on Musharraf that he was acting on US instructions blindly.
All politicians had claimed that President was all too powerful and PM is just a puppet (in Musharraf's era) and that the balance wasn't right between President & PM. Has that changed? In fact the president is even more powerful since he is also the de facto chairman of PPP and the PM is a little more than Mayor of Islamabad.
Zardari has vowed to carry on US war on terror, which is what Musharraf said.
Fake slogans of Lal Mosque inquiry, Kargil inquiry and Benazir murder inquiry, restoration of judiciary have all died.
Relations with India have deteriorated. Claims of halving the commodity prices have all been forgotten.
Mr. Nawaz Sharif has been used and thrown away like, you what....
Federal Minister for Law roams about in truck sized jeep without a number plate.
Bangladeshi currency has overtaken ours...
So whatever system we follow, at the end of the day it should be able to deliver financial stability, peace & justice. Has it?
