PPP London Chapter pay tributes to late Z.A.Bhutto on his birthday LONDON, Jan 5 (APP): The Greater London Chapter of Pakistan People’s Party paid rich tributes to the sagacity and leadership of its founding father and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.At a meeting of party office bearers held under the chairmanship of acting president Raja Wajid and attended among others by secretary general Mohsin Bari, Agha Tanveer Iqbal secretary information and activists, Malik Manzoor,Zahir Hasan Dar, Waqar Abbasi, Zohaib Malik,Ahmed Khan, Sultan Hayat, Imran Goshi, Nasrullah Goshi, Raja Akram and others, the late leader was described as beacon of light for the poor and downtrodden people of Pakistan.
They said late Z.A.Bhutto fought for the noble cause of democracy and gave Pakistan standing in the international community during the dark days of its history through his enlightened and bold leadership that aimed at country’s development and socio-economic progress. The participants noted that Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam led the people in their struggle against the forces of tyranny and exploitation and was against ignorance and oppression who also fought for justice and knowledge. “Our leader deeply cherished the democracy and democratic values and in the end gave his life to preserve these ideals,” they acknowledged.
