Subordinate stands up against his top boss

What a day not only in the history of Pakistan alone but also in relationship between an employer and an employee if one reaches to its depth.

Attorney General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq in compliance to the instructions of Supreme Court of Pakistan had to submit some documentary evidence to be used against Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in connection with case of contempt of court. On 22nd February, these documents will be placed before larger bench of seven judges  of Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk. Professionally speaking AG had no option and alternative but to submit 460 pages to SC and to the best of my knowledge and belief each page individually and all pages collectively must be pointing out fingers against PM and say for academic discussion that had he not done alike he would have faced wrath of law even against his own self which certainly none would invite under any circumstances whatsoever. Needless to mention, it is the primary duty of AG to collect maximum evidence which is deadly detrimental and be used against the accused with no reference to the position of the accused in any case. Undoubtedly Attorney General is always supposed to be an independent, unbiased and neutral professional when it comes to discharging his official obligations.

One should not forget that the standard practice where summary for appointment of AG is always submitted by the ministry of law to PM for his approval and once PM signs it in affirmative then the document is sent to President for his concurrence proves that AG cannot be appointed unless and until PM blesses it. Relying on the process as outlined, Maulvi Anwarul Haq case for appointment as Attorney General of Pakistan too had been routed alike where none but Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani as Prime Minister strongly recommended to President Asif Ali Zardari saying that Anwarul Haq is the best suited candidate for appointment as AG. Perhaps I am not wrong  to construe that as a human like you and me, Maulvi Anwarul Haq must have at least thought once if not more that Gilani is the same  person who played very crucial role to get him crowned as AG but at the same time Maulvi Anwar is to prove himself as a truly prudent person too which he did.

Alas! PM neither could know from any angle whatsoever nor could he even think of that one day the same person whom he has pleasantly recommended for appointment for such a prized position in the hierarchy of Pakistan will be after him to suck his blood. I can very safely and convincingly pronounce that as and when Maulvi had heard that PM Gilani has recommended his case for appointment to President Zardari, he must have thanked PM for his kind patronage. Who differs me and how?
