Who picks up stone to hurl on me or who claps for me?

Today again shias’ Muharram procession has been hit in Dera Isamil Khan killing 5 persons and injuring 70 while the same city was hit yesterday too  when 8 died and more than 50 were injured. Some of those injured in both blasts are believed to be in critical condition. This is really very high time for all Pakistanis to pick up the courage to say black as black whereby the one who delivers what is required is to be patted but the one who fails is to be chucked out at least if not imprisoned or sent to gallows but if still keep our eyes shut then wait for the dooms day which is very much knocking in Pakistan if one realizes to be honest.

This is really very shameful on the part of Interior Minister Malik Rehman to still cling to his seat though for 2 consecutive days his claim that the whole country is declared as safe to hold Muharram processions have proved to be nothing but lollypop. How can he justify his continuation as interior minister when not once but twice and that too in the same city his authority has been blatantly challenged by Taleban? Had there been else on the seat he or she would have resigned not today but yesterday once the blast had occurred but this will be realized by the one who has some conscious and not otherwise. Interestingly Taleban had not only assumed the responsibility for attacking yesterday but have also said that they will attack at will without caring as to what security arrangements have been made by the government. Spokesman for Taleban has very proudly declared that they do not care whatsoever as to what steps have been taken by interior minister and to prove their strength they have struck twice in succession in the same city which does prove that Taleban have shattered our security arrangements to pieces and pieces only.

May I draw your attention to some hard facts which I know will not be swallowed by many right from down below to the top including President but yet I will suggest in some lighter mood. Now when for many long years we have seen that Taleban have proved to be very lethal and they have attacked all over the places in the my Pakistan perhaps the time has come to reckon their strength and power rather than condemning them. They snatched Swat from us and ruled the place for so many months and nothing could be done against them unless army had to be called in and they took pretty long time to oust them. They have attacked with full might many army camps and convoys killing many of our khakis and injuring scores of them as well. Time and again they have kidnapped many people and kept them in their custody for months and weeks and we proved helpless to stop them from kidnapping. None can even count how many times and places they have attacked and killed innocent lives fir none if their fault? Thousands of people had to be displaced and quit their houses leaving behind everything and moved to some safer places so that they are far too away from the strong clutches of Taleban. They have motivated or brain washed people to the extent that not only men but also women and children have jumped into the fray and we have read that children and ladies too have strapped explosive materials to their bodies and they just blew themselves and killing and injuring many people at different places on different days. The present two blasts in DI Khan must serve as an eye opener for all of us in Pakistan that whether one likes it or not Taleban is a force to be recognized and their lethal power should not be either ignored or under estimated whatsoever.

Now in crux I want all of my readers to be truly rational and prudential in their thoughts and approach and should not be either sentimental or hysterical reading that I am proposing that under the given situation when Interior Minister Malik Rehman has been reduced to almost zero before Taleban then why not now Taleban be given a chance for a stipulated period of time to take over from police so far as bomb blasts etc us concerned. I am pretty sure that it is a very viable proposition which must be given very serious consideration and they be engaged on experimental basis and who knows may be it works out well and bomb blasts end all together. However, if for any set of imagination Taleban cannot prove what is expected of them then they can be relieved of their responsibilities and asked to march back to the pavilion and live in caves.

Why President Asif Ali Zardari is not sacking Malik Rehman not only for failing this time but in the past too and it is blot on the part of the President to stick to such a failed person to be honest? I wonder neither the incumbent nor the previous PM took any notice as to how and why his cabinet minister has proved  a failure despite the fact that he has been given whatever he wanted so he dare not complain that he has shortage of hands or guns or both. Pakistan police has been provided the best within the limited resources of the country hence there must be results also justifying the huge expenditure incurred on police. Each time issuing condolences, paying compensation, instituting enquiries and giving false assurances etc have not worked out at least with the present government set up.  Malik Rehman is on the seat for as long as 4 years and 8 months and the result is almost zero if not below-zero so I think in all fairness he should be removed not today but right now but since he is a blue eyed boy of Zaradari and cannot be stripped alike then at least safety and security responsibilities be taken off from him and given to Taleban instead.

Litmus test, Malik Rehman is given a challenging job which will either keep him on the job or get him removed whatever applicable. He gets one month and an area where no bomb blast or suicidal attack should happen to prove his inborn capabilities while Taleban are given the same area and the same to strike to prove how dangerous they are. Both when given the same opportune cannot grumble of any partiality and or favoritism. Anyone who excels over the other is to be recognized accordingly.
